Glace Guard is a clan located in the Magallanica nation introduced in G Lost Deck 1 "Frozen Dragon's Revolt". The clan consists of various native groups of peoples living in the arctic environments of Planet Cray.

Background[]

Who are Glace Guard? A conglomerate of native arctic tribes from across Planet Cray. Regardless of nation, the clan is primarily composed of humans, high beasts, and ghosts. Despite few, if any, of the tribes living in the nation, the clan is considered a part of Magallanica; primiarly due to the similarities in environments between tribes.

Playstyle[]

Following the general theme of "ice", Glace Guard focuses on fending off opposing attacks through a variety of different methods, including increasing/decreasing a unit's Power for consecutive turns; redirecting attacks to different targets; and even giving opposing units' Restraint, in addition to normal guarding. This is further built upon by the "Brace" keyword, which allows a unit to gain additional power and effects when targeted for an attack, at the cost of discarding a card. In addition to this heavy defense, more offensive Glace Guard units will weaken the opponent's defenses using techniques such as decreasing an opposing unit's Power, and placing guard restrictions; nearly guaranteeing a hit.

  • With the exception of early era units (when I didn't know what the clan actually did), there are no dragons in this clan. (05/22/2023)
  • Outside of Stand Triggers, Glace Guard has no way of standing units with an effect.
  • Units in this clan are generally based on arctic wildlife, and characters from Inuit and Slovakian mythology.
